Regenerative Farm Tour

Experience a small-scale, regenerative farm with chickens, ducks, goats, and honey bees

45 min
20 US dollars

Description

Discover the beauty of a small-scale, off-grid, human-powered farm that was designed using permaculture principles. During this 45-minute immersive farm tour, you will learn about our innovative, yet inexpensive, regenerative farm practices that prioritize improving soil health to help us grow, raise, and forage nutrient-dense food. As we explore the farm, you will be greeted by our free-range chicken and duck flocks, as well as meet our friendly Nigerian dwarf and Nubian goats. If you keep an eye out, you’ll also notice our hardworking honey bees and native pollinators as they forage on the many wildflowers we have growing around the farm. Tour highlights include our hugelkultur raised bed gardens bordered by comfrey and a living elderberry hedge, herb gardens, mushroom cultivation areas, chicken coop and greenhouse, heritage apple orchard, barn and apiary area with a black walnut guild. We welcome questions and will tailor the tour to satisfy your regenerative farming interests. Please dress appropriately for this outdoor tour that includes interacting with livestock. BIOSECURITY REQUIREMENTS: Due to the ongoing issue of Avian Influenza, we ask guests with poultry at home, to wear different footwear than you wear around your flock. Thank you in advance for helping minimize the risk to our flock!
